Other places suggested were Publix at Townlake in Cherokee County and Hiram - Hwy 92/278 for potential spots for next year.

From the Driver's Seat

Folks, our next meeting will be a very important one. Please plan to attend and participate. We expect to receive reports on several possible new locations for next year's Cruise Nights. Some are close in to Marietta, while others are further north or west. We'll consider their proximity to our home base, Marietta, the size of the parking lot, the available lighting, a power source for our DJ, restaurants, rest rooms, frontage on a major roadway, how strongly the local businesses will support us, and other factors. I want you to hear all about the locations under consideration, and to have the opportunity to ask questions and express your views.

We'll also talk about upcoming events such as our picnic with the children from Calvary Children's Home, the Moultrie Swap Meet that will take place the weekend before Thanksgiving, and our Christmas Party. We'll need to get organized and make plans for the picnic. Some of us will help with games and face-painting for the young folks, and others will help with food preparation. Don't forget to bring your cameras. There will be some wonderful picture-taking opportunities. The greyhounds that Jon and Dee usually bring are always a big hit!

There will be a sign-up list for the rooms I've reserved for club members for Friday night of the Moultrie Swap Meet. Some of you have already let me know that you wanted rooms, and they're reserved. Make your plans and sign up if you need a room. We'll also have sign-up lists for Christmas Party activities, and you'll want to be included.

Becky and I will be on a much-needed vacation, so our Vice President, Bob Bryant, will guide you through this exciting and fun-filled evening that, as always, will conclude with a drawing for our raffle prize. See you soon, and until then, keep those Classic Chevys rolling.

Bill
