FOR SALE

Ed Brown would like to sell his 1963 Impala (for $5,000) and/or his 1966 Impala (for $4,000) to someone who does NOT require airconditioning! I have just purchased (and also am offering "for sale") a 1955 (First Series) Chevrolet pickup truck in need of restoration. Other than for the seat covers, the truck is ALL original. I've had the gas tank boiled out and have installed new fuel lines, fuel pump AND carb. I've also had radiator boiled out. Hear it run! Asking $ 2,000. I have also just purchased a 1963 Impala (2-door hardtop) with a 6 cylinder and 3-speed on the column. The body is structurally sound but needs paint and the interior. New brakes (ALL new wheel cylinders, shoes AND master cylinder). Radiator boiled out. Asking $ 3,000

MINUTES

of the August 1 - DCCC regular meeting

Old Business:

1) There was NO meeting in July

2) IF your dues are not paid, you will NOT be getting future Newsletters due to the expense involved.

3) Treasury report: $ 1,590.79

New Business:

1) John Crenshaw talked about scrapbooking at the Cruise Nights and giving 15% to the Club. He must obtain Mall Management approval first, however.

2) Wally Bell had Quad bypass but he is OK. We are sending a card.

3) Bob & Judy Demers are moving to Daytona "SOON" and we will need replacements for the jobs of V-P and Secretary.

4) Bill Soyak is moving with his new job and we need a new President.

5) We talked about reverting back to the old Cabinet of Officers. Therese Caruso talked to Bob Bryant about doing this. We made a motion for Bob Bryant to become "Substitute" President until the end of the year.

6) Bill Boyak (President), Bob Demers (V-P) and Judy Demers (Secretary) formally resigned tonight.

Bill Soyak, our President, Bob Demers, our Vice-President, and Judy
Demers, our Secretary resigned at the August club meeting. Bill will be taking a job in North Carolina. Bill will be missed as President and a long time club member. He spent much time this season advertising the club and the club supported
cruise nights. Bob and Judy will be moving to Florida. We thank Bob and Judy for supporting the club activities and serving as officers during this year.
The August Club Cruise Night was a hugh success. The fifty/fifty drawing
paid for the music and Therese deposited $35 in our bank account. There were a dozen or more DCCC member families attending Cruise Night. Although they were hot, Charlen and Charles Ross did a wonderful job selling fifty/fifty tickets
and giving door prizes. Please mark you calender for November 9. That’s the date of the Fall Picnic at the Calvary Childrens Home. As you know Ben and Ruth Anne moved to Florida because of Ben`s health. Bryan and Melita Busby are now the supervisors for the Home. I will be (as Gary says) the Club “substitute” President for 2002. The Club will have officer election at the Christmas meeting/party. Please begin to consider candidates for for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Crusie Night Coordinator.

If you have an item of interest to the club, please contact Ed Brown (our Newsletter Editor
) @ 770-364-3555.

See you at the September club meeting.
